Fall Nail Art

Difficulty :
Hey guys !
This weekly nail art is fall inspired ! So much darker as I usually do, but really loads of fun to do !
For this nail art, we will be using 6 different nail polishes and a thin nail art brush.
Start by applying your base coat. Once this is done, paint each of your nails with a black nail polish.
Once your coat is dry, follow the instructions below :
  • For your thumb : Take a pink nail polish, and using a nail art brush, just do thick lines reaching towards the ends of your nail. Once your lines are dry, take a light brown nail polish and draw thiner lines into the pink lines we drew earlier.
  • For your index, your middle finger and your ring finger : With your silver nail polish, draw a a medium sized line in the middle of your nail. Then, grab your nail art brush, and draw really thin lines (those lines being irregular with different sizes) reaching towards the black sides of each nails. The effect expected is similar to a gradient (like on the picture above). It's really fun to do and really easy !
  • For your little finger : You just have to apply a matte top coat on top of it. When your top coat is dry, take your black nail polish and draw a thick line at the bottom of your nail, just like a french manucure.

Once you're done with each of these steps, you can apply your shiny top coat on each of your nails except the little one (which already has been matified).
TADA !

Pink Power Gradient

Difficulty :

Hey Guys !
This weekly manucure is a pink gradient !
For this manucure you will need : a make up sponge, two nail polishes (check the references down below) and a top coat.

First and foremost, start by applying your base coat.
When you're done, take your make up sponge and your two nail polishes and apply a thick layer of each nail polish on your sponge. (Just like the picture below)

Then, press your sponge onto each of your nails as many times as you need until you get a satisfying gradient.
---My piece of advice on gradients : To protect your fingers while pressing your sponge onto your nail : put a few pieces of scotch around your nail ; the polish won't get onto your finger
If you have pale colors, I suggest you put on a white base first, then the colors will be brighter
Don't hesitate to start over again until you get the perfect gradient---

Once you've got the perfect gradient, apply immediatly your top coat ; Your colors will fade in each other better.

Essie's Dots

Difficulty :

This weekly nail art design is called Essie's Dots because I very mostly used Essie nail polishes.
For this manucure, you will need : three different nail polishes and a medium sized dotting tool ! (Find the brands down below)
Start with your base ; once your nails are all dry, take your first nail polish and paint your thumb, your index and your little finger. Grab your second nail polish and apply it on your middle finger and your ring finger.
Once your first layers are dry, apply a second layer on each of your nails.
Once you're done, take your dotting tool and follow the instructions below :
  • Thumb : Take your second nail polish and start by drawing dots on the right edge of your nail leaving space between each of them. Then, take your third nail polish and fill in the blanks we left !
  • Index : Do the exact same thing but instead of drawing dots on the right edge, draw the dots on the left edge of your nail.
  • Middle finger : This time, take your first nail polish and start by drawing dots on top of your nail leaving blanks bewteen them like we did the last time. (I did a few more rows, you can do as much as you want). And let's fill in the blanks with the third nail polish (using our dotting tool of course) !
  • Ring finger : The pattern here is basicaly the same as the middle thinger except that we draw the dots on the bottom edge of our nail. (Look at the picture)
  • Little finger : This pattern is similar to the second one, but instead of drawing a straight column, draw the dots from top left to bottom right
Once you're done with all your nails, wait for them to dry and then apply your top coat !

Manucure Lune

Français

Difficulty :

Hey guys, as promised the tuto from the VERY FIRST nail art manucure ever done : The "Manucure Lune" !
For this manucure you'll be needing : one OR two nail polish including a nude and and red or coral ; your top coat and your base.

First start by applying your base. Then, what is particular is the nail art is that I've decided to add my own touch to it. So I've put a nude nail polish as a color base. You can either do it, or let it be natural.

Once this is done, you have to make a choice ; You can either take an eyelet to help you with this design OR you can also just do the curve with your nail polishs' brush.
So take your second nail polish color (it may as well be your first), and fill in the rest of your nail leaving the base of your nail clear.
Then, when your layer is dry, paint a second layer to make sure it is smooth.

And once we're done with that, apply your top coat to make it nice and shiny.
This week's nail art design was indeed special and I'm looking forward to receiving all of your recreations of this design so I can maybe post them on the blog if you're okay with that.

Cindy's Kingdom

Difficulty :

Hi girls ! I've got great news before we get started : I finally have an internet access ! So from now on, weekly articles will be truely WEEKLY !

So let's get going ; For this manucure you will need : two nail polishes, two nail stripers, a dotting tool AND a striping tape. You will be able to check the references down below in a few days time when I'm done upgrading my nail polish collection.
First and foremost, like always, start by applying your base. Once it is dry, apply your first nail polish on each of your nails except for your ring finger. Apply your second colour on top of your ring finger. Once your first layers are dry, apply a second base on each of your nails.

Once your second layers are dry, take two little bits of your striping tape. On top of your thumb, stick your striping tape in order to make a kind of a cross shake. On your index, apply your matte top coat. Then, grab one of your nail stripers and make a few stripes on top of your middle finger. Once you've done that, take your dotting tool and with your first nail polish, put dots on the side of your ring finger. Then take your other nail striper and draw a simple line in the middle of your ring finger. For your last finger, just draw dots on the edges of your nail with your second nail polish.

Once you've done each of these steps, apply a basic top coat on each of your fingers EXCEPT your index which already has a matte top coat !

TADAAA ! Then we're done ! ;)

Switzerland

Difficulty :

Hey guys !
Due to my non existent internet access in my new appartment, I haven't been able to post anything for the last 2 weeks...
BUT good news are that I'll be getting my internet access in two weeks time. So keep in touch with me with facebook, twitter or even google plus ; I'll be posting the next weekly article ASAP !

So today's "weekly" manucure is called Switzerland !
For this manucure you'll only need one nail polish, a nail striper of your choice and a small sized dotting tool !

Before we get started, first apply your base. Once it is reaaaally dry, apply the first layer of your nail polish.
Wait until your first layer is dry and then apply a second layer.
Then, grab your nail striper and draw thick lines on both edges of your nail. Keep your nail striper in hand to draw lines pointing towards the end of your nail ; thoses lines are meant to meet up and look like an unfinished triangle shape.
Once your 'triangles' are dry, grab your dotting tool and use it with your nail polish to make dots on the center of your nail, on top of the nail striper lines you've been doing lastly.

Once the entire manucure is done, use your favourite top coat to make it stay.
WE'RE DONE !

Beau Rivage

Francais

Difficulty :

This weekly nail art design is a simple coloured french manucure that is really easy to do !
I've been using one nail polish and a bronze nail striper
And believe me, the mysterious name of this manucure DOES have a story... !

Like always, start by applying your base.
Once your base is dry, apply a first layer of your nail polish, wait untill it is dry, and then apply a second layer.

Then, once your layers are dry, take your nail striper (i chose a bronze one) and go from left to right on the bottom of each nail. To get a precise line, try going slowly but just once.

And then all you have left to do is put a top coat on each nail !
TADA !

Loads of Dots #2

Français
Difficulty :

This week's nail art design looks a lot alike the design I've uploaded two weeks ago, but the colors are really different, so if you didn't like the other one, you might like this one and vice versa.

In this design, I've been using 5 different nail polishes. -go check the references below-

Like always, start by applying your base on each nail.
Once your base is dry, apply your light blue nail polish -or the color you chose- on each nail twice
Once your second layer is dry, take a medium sized dotting tool and start drawing a column of dots in the middle of your nail in silver
Then take your little sized dotting tool and do two columns of dots in dark blue around the silver dots on your thumb and your little finger
Keep the same dotting tool but this time do the same for your ring finger and your index in a light purple. Do the exact same thing for your middle finger in light pink

Once all your nails are reaaaaaaaaaaally dry, apply your top coat on top of them all !

Matte Pink Dots

français

Difficulty :

This weekly nail art design is really girly and very easy to do.

I only used 2 colors (See below tuto)

First apply your base, once it is dry apply your first color on 3 or 4 of your nails.
Choose your second color and apply it on the nude nails.

Once each nail is dry, apply a matte top coat on top of them and wait for the matte top coat to dry
Take your second nail polish to draw the dots on top of the other color by taking 3 different sized dotting tools and draw a first line of dots with the biggest dotting tool ; then take the medium sized one to do a second row ; and finaly take the little sized dotting tool and draw your last line of dots on top of both.
Do exactly the same for the second color, this time using the first nail polish to draw the dots.

And then you're done !

Loads Of Dots

Français

Difficulty :

This week's daily nail art is full of colourful dots !

I've here used six colors -which you will like last time below-
You first need to apply your base ; once it is dry, apply the color you choose (I've chosen black !)

Using two dotting tools (one medium and one reaaaaally small), first make dots in the middle of each finger using a white nail polish. Then go over these white dots in pink (or the color you want).
Use your smaller dotting tool to do the exact same thing with two rows on each side of the large dots.
I decided to use different colors for each row, but you can use the same colors as much as you like.

Once your dots are dry, apply your favourite top coat on top of it !

Put a comment in the box down below to let me know if you like this nail art design and show me your reproductions on my twitter

Cute Bows On Pink And Purple Nails

This week's nail art design is a reproduction of MissJenFabulous ! -Go check out her website and her youtube channel-
First and Foremost, apply your base.
I've chosen two colours -which you can find below- with which i've done a colourful french manucure.
Then I've taken a special nail art brush (but you can use a black nail striper) and i've dipped it in some black nail polish, so I could firstly draw a line, and then do two triangles to make the bow.

Last but not least, wait until it is really really dry (1h) and apply your favourite top coat on top of it ! You're done !
